11/13/2009 self-empowermentwhen you study psych, you become aware of people's issues and problems.
and then you become different from people,
u become an observer,a commentator,
almost like a consultant for the whole human race.
u will then realize that the only way you can relate to people is talking to them about their issues and problems,
because that to you seems to be the only way to contribute to other people's well-being as a friend.
you lose your previous perspective on interpersonal relations,
where meaningless hang-out and mingling used to be acceptable.
you feel that you are no longer a fun person,
and so do people around you,who now only bombard you with their questions, concerns, and complaints.
you sometimes wish that you could unlearn this meta-conscious awareness of psychological activities
and all the labels and symtoms and processes that you ascribe to everything you see
and submerge into the semi-conscious simplistic state of being where
people mean what they say,do what they want to do
behave in ways irrelevant to childhood experiences
and make decisions without being influenced by their biosociohistocultural context.
but Hegel is a brilliant man.
he tells me that simplicity is not just where im deviating away from, but also where im moving towards.
but it's a new kind of simplicity.
it's where i can be free of unresolved attachment conflicts, traumatic memories and ineffective coping mechanisms.
it's a synthesis that i pursue,not more madness that i create.
therefore i need to undertake what i must suffer from,
and carry on.
